Scholarship is one of the founding principles of Alpha Gamma Delta and is a key factor for membership. Alpha Gamma Delta places a strong emphasis on achievement in academics and scholarship. Alpha Sigma is consistently ranked among the top GPAs of the 11 Panhellenic organizations on IUP's campus, and is currently ranked 1st! Scholarship dinners are held each semester to recognize individual members who have attained high or perfect grades, and it also gives us a chance to meet the faculty of IUP since each member can invite a professor. Study hours are held in the Stapelton Library on campus from 6 tp 9pm each Monday through Thursday. This gives the sisters and new members time for studying and homework and allows sisters in the same major to group up and help out with school work.
Scholarship is one of the founding principles of Alpha Gamma Delta and is a key factor for membership. In addition to being required to maintain a certain GPA to be in Good Standing, the international Fraternity recognizes each sister who receives a 3.14 GPA or higher each term with a Strive for Pi certificate.
